We have some news, and we're still grinning about it. On October 7, 2026, Mobile Marina, the St. Petersburg-based dockside fuel delivery and vessel management company serving Tampa Bay, won first place in the Startup World Cup Founders Pitch Contest at the Greenwich Economic Forum in Greenwich, Connecticut. The win earns us a spot at the Grand Finale in San Francisco this November.
Our COO, Erik Schroeder, a USCG-certified captain, delivered the pitch. He summed it up on Instagram in two words: "We won!" That about covers it.

The Pitch
Erik's pitch boiled Mobile Marina down to one idea: Marinas-as-a-Service. Instead of making boaters go to the marina for fuel and service, we bring the marina to the boat.
In Tampa Bay, that looks like three things:
- Dockside fuel delivery. Our custom-built fueling vessels bring REC 90 and marine diesel to your slip on scheduled routes.
- Vessel management. Monthly inspections by USCG-certified captains, with a written report after every visit. Here's what's included and what it costs.
- Maintenance coordination. Certified technicians handle most engine service and repairs at the dock, and we line up cleaning and yard work through trusted partners.
You schedule it from your phone. After your first fueling (we like you there for that one, so we can learn the boat), your boat gets fueled and checked on its route day.
Save the Weekend
Nobody bought a boat to spend Saturday morning in line at the fuel dock, or to watch a Fort De Soto sandbar day disappear because a repair is stuck in a shop queue. That was the problem Erik put in front of the room.
Fuel and service usually mean a run to the marina or a trailer ride to a shop, then waiting your turn. One surprise repair can wipe out the weekend. And good marine technicians stay booked, so jobs pile up.
Erik closed with three words: Save the Weekend.
The Greenwich Economic Forum
The Greenwich Economic Forum held its ninth annual conference October 5–7, 2026, in Greenwich, with the main sessions at the Delamar Greenwich Harbor. It's an invitation-only crowd of institutional investors, asset owners, economists, and policymakers, not boaters. The Founders Pitch Contest ran on the last day, and Erik had a few minutes to explain dockside fuel to people who manage money for a living.
A boat-fuel and vessel-care company from St. Pete isn't the usual pitch in that room. We'll take it.

San Francisco Is Next
The Startup World Cup is a global competition run by Pegasus Tech Ventures. Winning the Greenwich round sends us to the Grand Finale event, November 4–6, 2026, at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square.
According to the organizers, more than 200 regional winners pitch in the semifinals on November 4. Ten finalists advance to the Grand Finale on November 6, and one finalist is eligible for a $1 million investment prize. We'll be there from Tampa Bay, and we'll share how it goes.
What Changes for Tampa Bay Boaters
Day to day, nothing changes for you. Our boats run the same scheduled routes, and our captains and technicians show up the same way they did last week.
The boaters on our routes are the ones who prove this works. The win just puts us in front of more people. If you've been meaning to try dockside service, compare today's REC 90 and diesel prices, see what vessel management includes starting at $99 a month, or book maintenance and repairs right at your slip.

Thank You
Huge thanks to Greenwich Economic Forum co-founders Jim Aiello and Bruce McGuire for hosting us, and to Pegasus Tech Ventures for giving a boat-fuel company from St. Pete a shot on that stage.
And thank you to the whole Mobile Marina team. Every fuel run, inspection, and repair you handle is what Erik was really pitching up there.
